A really beautiful walk in Trooz. Somewhere at a stone's throw from Liège, hidden behind the sometimes magnificent and sometimes forlorn façades of the old industry, lies a gorgeous area that unfolds across lovely woods, quiet little villages and wide-open meadows.
It may have been the warm weather, the colours and the scents of nature, but at certain moments in those woods I felt like I was in the south of France and a few kilometres further on, in the fields of Tuscany. I know, all very romantic and far-fetched. But it was lovely to experience it that way, and I wish you at least the same. And Walloon industry is never far away, ready to puncture the dream as quickly as it appeared. For the rest, a lovely afternoon of walking at least if, like me, you keep stopping every now and then to shoot a few frames and put the drone up in the air. Or like my lovely Liene, who stops at every plant, butterfly and bumblebee to observe. That way we never get anywhere fast, and that's exactly as it should be. All the same, it was a wonderful afternoon. A few punchy little climbs here and there, though that may just as easily have been down to my lack of sleep.
