Between Christmas and New Year, we weren’t looking for distance, but for stillness. Kürten offered exactly that: a short walk through open fields, rolling hills, and quiet forest edges. No plans, no goals — just walking, observing, breathing.
The low winter sun stretched long shadows across the meadows. Horses looked up as we passed, paths gently cut through the landscape. A solitary house on a hill now and then, but mostly space and silence. A place that asks nothing, yet gives a lot in return.
