A long gravel ride through the Northern Kempen, covering around 130 km of quiet trails, forests, and farmland. The route starts near Kasterlee and moves north through the open fields and pine woods typical of this region — endless straight tracks, soft sand sections, and the smell of resin in the air.

Early morning light filters through the trees as you roll past small farms and misty meadows near Lichtaart and Tielen. Further north, the route passes Kasterlee’s castle area and continues towards the wide gravel lanes of Retie and Postel, where the landscape opens up completely.

You ride along canal paths, through small nature reserves, and between meadows with grazing cows. Around midday, the Postel Abbey area offers a good stop — quiet, green, and surrounded by forest.

The second half crosses back through Arendonk and Turnhout, with a mix of forest singletracks, field crossings, and sandy roads cutting through open farmland. A few playful sections demand a bit of steering skill, but most of the ride is smooth and steady — perfect for long, uninterrupted rhythm.
