A scenic 80 km gravel ride starting and ending in Kampenhout, ideal for a calm spring morning ride. The route follows the Dijle Canal towards Haacht and Wakkerzeel, then continues through Rotselaar, Betekom, and the open farmlands around Tildonk and Boortmeerbeek.
It’s a mix of smooth canal paths, forest trails, and rural gravel roads, with almost no traffic and plenty of variation. The first stretch along the canal is quiet and reflective — perfect light over the water, a few fishermen, and the smell of early spring. Near Wakkerzeel, a small white chapel marks the transition from water to fields.
Midway, the terrain opens up into wide agricultural landscapes, with long gravel stretches framed by poppies and barley fields. In the last section, the route dives back into small forest roads and shaded lanes before returning to Kampenhout.
A ride that feels balanced — fast rolling, scenic, and peaceful. 80 km of mixed terrain, perfect for a steady morning spin with golden light and empty paths.
